It all starts with words.
Whether it's wrangling them into scripts and storyboards, or the furious scribble of lyrics, long-form prose or spoken word manifestos, they're the font of my creativity.
Following in the footsteps of my poet-novelist mother, I became a published author at age six. While 'The Fairy Without Wings' didn't top the NYT bestsellers list, it did ignite a lifelong love of storytelling.
Early on, I explored the lyrical realms of songwriting and composition. It pulled me from the humid hills of my hometown in South Africa to the scuzzy stages of London's indie venues, where I cut my teeth writing songs and performing with indie bands. After completing a degree in songwriting and production, I toured as a session musician. Somewhere between SXSW and a show in Jakarta, I picked up a copywriting gig.
Over the last decade, I've explored and enjoyed both freelance and agency life. Once I discovered words create visuals, my passion for concepting and creative ideation crystallised. When a campaign idea starts to become a reality, I call on my multi-hyphenate background to nurture it all the way through the production process, from pre-production to shoot, post, release and beyond. Whether it's a social-first video or a 360 campaign with influencer, stunt or OOH activations, my ideas, words and wealth of experience bring them all to vivid life.
